Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 headed to O2 UK?
Sony Ericsson’s Xperia X10 (which will soon hit Japan via NTT DoCoMo) has appeared on O2 UK’s website, in the accessories shop (you can’t see the page if you’re not in the UK) – which means that the largest British mobile carrier should soon offer the smartphone for sale.
Coming as Sony Ericsson’s first Android smartphone, the Xperia X10 is a high-end device that features a large 4 inch touchscreen display with 480 x 854 pixels, HSPA connectivity, Wi-Fi with DLNA, GPS with Google Maps, Bluetooth 2.1, 3.5 mm headset jack, and an 8MP autofocus camera with image stabilization, LED flash and WVGA video recording.
The Xperia X10 also has a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor at 1GHz – being among the world’s first Android smartphones to use such a powerful CPU.
The price of X10 from O2 is not known. However, as many other European carriers, O2 usually offers high-end smartphones for free with expensive contract agreements, so the X10 should also be free – if you’re willing to pay about £40 or more monthly.
