Ariel gets a taste of Hollywood through Jay

Ariel Lin recently accepted a beverage ad in collaboration with Jay Chou. But since Jay was busy filming “Green Hornet” at the time, they had to move the production to Beverly Hills, Los Angeles. Because of Jay, Ariel got a taste of Hollywood treatment for four days and three nights. Not only did they have a special chef preparing meals, she also had her own luxury car. She became another type of “J girl.”
Living in a luxury hotel, NT$50,000 a night
After nine years, Ariel and Jay collaborated for a second time. She was in Jay’s “Nunchucks” MV, but Jay’s status is very different now. He’s now a co-star of Cameron Diaz in “Green Hornet.” Because of Jay, Ariel had a taste of the so-called Hollywood treatment.
Firstly, Ariel lived in a NT$50,000 (US$1,500) a night five-star hotel, in a 30-ping (99 sq.m.) room, with all the amenities. Secondly, during the shooting of the ad, the crew had a special Mexican chef preparing a high-class buffet, [she/they] could even order special dishes a day before.
Rush work, enjoying herself
What’s more, Ariel and Jay each had their own luxury car that they can use during the break. Let’s not even mention having a special make-up artist, hair stylist and personal stylist. Although she was in a rush to finish the job, Ariel couldn’t help but exclaim: “I’ve never enjoyed myself so much filming before.” Through the four-day, three-day LA trip, Ariel was so busy shooting she didn’t have time for a break. But she didn’t mind at all, she just looked forward to going to work and enjoying all the luxury treatments.
Earning more than NT$50 million in the new year
Aside from this ad, since the start of 2010, Ariel had renewed contracts for several of her commercials. She’s estimated to have earned between NT$50 million and NT$60 million. After this, Ariel will be busy with her new album. She’s now busy collecting songs for her new CD and taking intensive courses and practicing.
