Premieres in Hong Kong, Ethan Ruan Specifically Mentions Charlene Choi (Ah Sa) Wishing For A Cooperation
Director Doze Niu's masterpiece, Monga; held its premiere at APM Hall in Hong Kong today (April 14) with Doze Niu and leading actors Ethan Ruan and Mark Zhao attending the opening ceremony. With Monga defeating Avatar; at the box office on its opening day, the movie is confidently expected to excel in the Hong Kong box office.
Monga; and Hong Kong's Young and Dangerous; are both based on the background life of triad members. Ethan admits he is familiar with Hong Kong's <Young and Dangerous> as a teen. However, he expressed, "It's hard to pick a winner between the 2 works, because they are incomparable." Without diminishing <Young and Dangerous>, Ethan explained that <Monga> perhaps gives a greater warning about life and the dangers of following a gangster lifestyle.
Coming to Hong Kong, Ethan Ruan & Mark Zhao look forward to Hong Kong's good food. Other than that, they are also interested in Hong Kong's female artistes. Ethan specifically mentioned beautiful Charlene Choi (Ah Sa), wishing to be able to collaborate with her one day. As for other female actresses, both men did not want to comment more, but they expressed admiration in HK's renowned directors and male actors.
