Directed by HK's famous and well-renowned director Derek Yee Tung-Sing, the suspense action movie <Triple Tap> (鎗王之王) starring Louis Koo, Daniel Wu, Charlene Choi and Li Bing Bing will release on June 30. At a recent 12-hour Beijing promotion for Triple Tap, Director Derek Yee was quick to point out that <Triple Tap> is not a sequel to the 2000 movies <Double Tap> starring Leslie Cheung and Alex Fong Chung-Sun and are instead completely different. In <Triple Tap>, Koo plays a champion shooter who becomes a hero after encountering and lethally shooting a band of armed bank robbers, but is suspected to be the mastermind behind the heist by a crack shot police officer played by Daniel Wu
Recently married Daniel Wu was asked about whether or not marriage will affect the types of movies he will choose to appear in. Daniel explained that there will be no difference for him between choosing roles before and after being married - he will continue to film the types of movies he likes and wants to film which is most important to him.
On the same topic of relationships, Charlene and Louis have acted in several movies together as a couple, but this time their collaboration is different from previous movies. This time around, it's a serious drama and Louis even praised Charlene, expressing how he saw her mature. Louis stated: "We've known each other for 7 or 8 years. In this movie, I saw another side to Ah Sa. This time around, I felt that she has really grown up and matured."
Charlene also spoke about how previously working with Louis filming comedies such as <Love on the Rocks> and <Rob-B-Hood>, the atmosphere was very relaxed and everyone on set was laughing and joking around. But this time around with director Derek Yee's high expectations from the cast and serious air, the general atmosphere on the filming set was more reserved. Louis commented: "Sometimes the pressure is so high that Ah Sa will not dare to speak all day, and I dare not break this flow because it's important to maintain this type of pressure." Charlene further added: "Normally, I really enjoy chatting with others. But this time on the movie set, no one dared to speak to others. Often when we've finished filming our scenes, he will play video games, I will draw, and not one person on set dares to speak. Even people behind-the-scenes don't dare to speak."
Recently, photos of Louis sharing kissing scenes with Charlene and Li Bing Bing surfaced online, revealing a love triangle between the three. When Louis was asked about the complicated relationships in the movie, it became known that Charlene plays the role of Louis' girlfriend but Louis' boss Li Bing Bing is exceptionally fond of him and Louis is incapable of breaking away from this connection. Derek Yee also explained: "That's my intention, if we only focus on action fighting, the female audience won't be interested, or if the plot is not strong enough, the majority of the audience will not buy into the movie. Therefore the action sequences and the emotional drama are simultaenously strong. As well, Louis' emotional drama with the two female leads also play a pivotal role in influencing the plot. As a result, Louis' ultimate emotional decision will lead to the film's spectacle."
