Directed by Derek Yee Tung-Sing, the action movie thriller "Triple Tap" will premiere in theatres on July 1st. In the movie, the ‘emotional thread’ is placed in the hands of Louis Koo, leading him to be unable to choose between his husband-and-wife relationship with Charlene Choi and his relationship with his boss Li Bing Bing. Charlene straightforwardly warned the audience to not underestimate the roles Li Bing Bing and herself play. Acting as Louis Koo’s girlfriend, she is a gentle nurse, however being accustomed to facing live and death, her character is in fact a strong individual. In terms of her love rival Li Bing Bing, she is a successful and able woman, but has a weak heart and lacks security.
Although having previously appeared in sombre psychological thrillers such as "Diary", Charlene is very grateful to Director Derek Yee who gave her the opportunity to portray this character. Charlene: “In general I play more optimistic characters, but this time around my role is heavily focused on psychological drama.”
Working with Director Derek Yee for the first time, Li Bing Bing expressed the difference between this experience and her prior collaborations with other directors. Li Bing Bing: “As an actor in the past, the director has a great advantage in being able to understand actors’ ways of thinking; moreover he is a very straightforward man. I also want to thank him, because during filming, he gave me guidance and tips. For my acting, these will be useful for the rest of my life. A director who can increase the quality of an actor, that has to be treasured!”
