LG opens new Widows Mobile / Java Application Store. Android apps promised for later
LG has announced the launch of a “new” Application Store in more than 20 countries around the world (mostly from Asia and the Middle East).
The Store contains more than 3,000 applications: half of them are made for featurephones (Java), and the other half for Windows Mobile smartphones.
By the end of 2010, the LG Application Store will also host apps for Android handsets (like the LG Optimus range).
LG plans to launch the Application Store in major European markets before 2011, including the UK, France, Germany, Spain and Italy. By that time, the South Korean company hopes to offer more than 4,000 apps.
You can check out if LG Application Store is available in your country here at the store’s official website.
