Taylor Swift premieres new song Mine... and has an unlikely fan in the crowd

Country music star Taylor Swift has returned to Maine for a half-hour television special to introduce her latest music video.

The 20-year-old Grammy winner premiered "Mine" on Friday in Kennebunkport, where the video was shot last month.

During the cable TV special, Swift discussed the music video locations and showed behind-the-scenes footage.

Afterward, Swift met with former U.S. President George H.W. Bush, 86, who lives nearby and came out with his grandchildren to see her.

She then surprised the hundreds of fans gathered outside St. Anne's Church by performing several songs with her band.

The first release from Swift's new album is due out Oct. 25.

Meanwhile, the Swift has donated $100,000 (£64,400) to her hometown of Hendersonville, Tennessee.

The funds - which were originally allotted towards aiding those affected by recent floods in the area - will be used to build a new playground for the town's children as well as new volleyball courts.

Hendersonville spokesman Dave LeMarbre said: 'It's overwhelming. We didn't expect that.

'We appreciate Taylor's donation as well as all the others who have stepped up.'
