Lindsay Lohan Snags Britney Spears' Svengali
Remember when Britney Spears was driving around aimlessly, shaving her head and using an umbrella as a weapon? Remember who was the only one who could talk any sense into her? That's right, Larry Rudolph. Just call him the trainwreck whisperer.
According to the New York Post, Larry's now officially signed on to resuscitate Lindsay Lohan's dead career. Spears' former manager seems to be the last—and perhaps only—hope for the troubled actress to get her stalled career back on track after a stint in jail and rehab and repetitive drug and drinking problems.
Lindsay is eager to get back to work, as she told the latest issue of Vanity Fair, "I want my career back."
"I want the respect that I had when I was doing great movies. And if that takes not going out to a club at night, then so be it. It's not fun anyway," she said. "I don't care what anyone says. I know that I'm a damn good actress. And I know that in my past I was young and irresponsible, but that's what growing up is. You learn from your mistakes."
A source told the Post that Larry is already so serious about planning Lindsay's comeback that he is currently keeping her "on lockdown" so he can work his magic without her out tearing up the town.
And a source confirms to E!'s Ken Baker that Larry and his team are currently consulting with Lindsay on "a full range of career management issues."
The path to her Britney-like comeback reportedly started last year, when Lindsay hired Lou Taylor as her business manager, who also manages Britney's business affairs. With Britney's amazing turnaround and an upcoming episode of Glee devoted to the pop star, let's hope the same is possible for Lindsay.
