Farewell, Portia de Rossi. It was nice knowing you.A Los Angeles judge has officially granted the Australian-born actress' request to legally drop her surname and take that of her partner, Ellen DeGeneres. Portia and Ellen tied the knot in August 2008 during a brief period when gay marriage was legal in California.
That means as of today, the 37-year-old former Arrested Development star will now be known as Portia Lee James DeGeneres.
