We’ve seen plenty of Verizon iPhone 4 rumors over the past week or so, but carrier CEO Ivan Seidenberg may have just thrown a curveball of sorts into the speculation. Speaking to investors this week, Seidenberg said he hopes Apple will allow them to offer a 4G iPhone, using Verizon’s upcoming LTE network, which so far is yet to open to customers.
At least one analyst has suggested that Apple will begin manufacturing CDMA iPhone 4 handsets by the end of the year, with an expected launch early in Q1 2011. Last we heard, Verizon expect to begin rolling out their LTE coverage in 30 National Football League cities across the US before 2010 is done, though that will obviously leave plenty of the country still without 4G.
