Rebel without a cause: Zac Efron channels James Dean in sultry photoshoot
He's made his name as a teen heart throb and movie star.
But Zac Efron channelled a much more mature look as he made the cover of Wonderland Magazine looking like a young James Dean.
The 17 Again star looked the spitting image of Dean with his dark styled hair and black leather jacket.
And he looked a million miles away from his usual teenybopper style with the classic Hollywood shoot
Zac sported a very different style recently when he was spotted kayaking shirtless in Hawaii, with a new bristly beard.
The High School Musical star was holidaying with girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens, 21.
Despite his resemblance to Dean, Zac's own career has not had quite the same critical response.
He recently starred in new movie Charlie St. Cloud, a more serious venture for the teen idol.
The reviews were less than stellar: critics said he was 'swept away on a sea of goo,', lacked the gravitas to play a character haunted by loss and guilt and that he 'strips and sobs but never musters emotion.'
The Zac issue goes on sale September 9th in the UK, and then three weeks later in the US and as an iPad App.
