Beyonce Fragrance Ad Banned In Australia
Beyonce’s Heat is too hot for TV Down Under!
A commercial promoting the singer’s best-selling perfume Heat has been banned from broadcasting before 7.30 PM after complaints from viewers, who’ve branded the ad sexually suggestive and unsuitable for children.
These people have so obviously never seen the “Bootylicious” video!
The so-called “raunchy” promo shows the “Crazy in Love” hitmaker lying seductively on a bed, before going on to stroke her thighs while wearing a sexy red dress. As Beyonce walks away from the camera, her footprints melt and she says: “Catch the fever.”
Yeah, real Penthouse, Playboy, Hustler stuff….(Insert eye-rolling and sarcasm here….)
Fourteen viewers lodged complaints with Australian censors calling the advert offensive. The Advertising Standards Authority, The Outback’s official watchdog on all forms of advertising, ruled that the Heat campaign was unlikely to offend most people, but has opted not to run the commercial during the daytime to avoid any further fallout over the material.
Did we mention that the ad in question has been airing Stateside for almost a year?
