She's usually a genteel, well mannered mother of two children. But when the cameras roll all bets are off.
Reese Witherspoon unleashed her inner fiery sexpot on the set of her new movie This Means War, in Vancouver, Canada yesterday.
And when the 34-year-old actress goes for it, she really goes hell for leather, as lucky Chris Pine found out.
Reese and Chris were filmed in a passionate embrace, although at first look it might have been easy to misread the situation and think she as strangling her co-star rather than embracing him.
Pine didn't seem to mind though - in fact he seemed to be thoroughly enjoying every minute of the experience and at one point he even lifted the petite actress right up off the floor as they continued their steamy smooch.
And really, who can blame the 30-year-old actor? Reese looked stunning in a tight purple mini dress, leather jacket and knee high boots.
The two actors seem to nothing but make-out throughout the movie with new photos of them embracing are released every day.
And the chemistry between them is palpable as they spend time together during breaks laughing and fooling around. owever, if Chris is looking for a little off-set romance he might do better to look elsewhere.
Reese, who has two children from her marriage to Ryan Phillippe, has been happily dating Hollywood agent Jim Toth for around a year now.
She joined him at a party thrown by his company, Creative Artists Agency, over Halloween, where onlookers said the were being 'adorable and affectionate'.
And while sources recently denied rumours they are set to wed - an engagement might not be too far off.
'Jim knows Reese is the one for him. It's what he's been waiting for,' a source told People magazine.
'[Getting engaged] is a natural step for them but they're not in a rush. There's no deadline, no timetable. But it's something in the future.'
In the meantime, ever the professional, Reese is making the most of a tough job.
Drawing on her considerable acting skills she even seems to be relishing the role. But then, let's face it, making out with Chris Pine and getting paid for it certainly beats an eight hour shift at McDonalds.
This Means War follows two lifelong best friends, played by Tom Hardy and Star Trek star Pine, who pit themselves against each other after they both fall in love with the same woman, played by Reese.
