SOCCER stud Cristiano Ronaldo has apparently become a father.
The sports star posted a cryptic message on his Facebook page Sunday, announcing that an unidentified woman had given birth to his child — a baby boy.
“It is with great joy and emotion that I inform I have recently become father to a baby boy,” he wrote.
“As agreed with the baby’s mother, who prefers to have her identity kept confidential, my son will be under my exclusive guardianship.
“No further information will be provided on this subject and I request everyone to fully respect my right to privacy (and that of the child) at least on issues as personal as these are.”
Portuguese newspaper Correio da Manha has claimed the baby’s mother is from the United States and that she gave birth a month ago.
It also claims that Ronaldo’s family are preparing paperwork to bring the child to Portugal where he will be raised.
The paper added that Ronaldo’s management company Gestifute confirmed the footballer’s announcement was genuine.
