Leehom Wang will go on stage with Usher at Beijing concert

American R&B superstar Usher is recently making his concert rounds in Asia, and it has been confirmed that Taiwanese-American Leehom Wang will be his sole guest performer at his Beijing stop. Leehom Wang revealed that Usher greatly valued and also cared a lot about this collaboration. Morever, Leehom added that Usher himself especially edited a section of his American concert performance to give to him, and hoped that they can collaborate on stage and can pull off an epic and igniting performance.
Before arriving in mainland China for his Beijing stop on July 11th, Usher will begin by performing for the first time in Taiwan at Taipei World Trade Center Nangang Exhibition Hall on July 4th, before he departs to Seoul on the same weekend and arrive the following night for another concert there for a total of 22 hours.
Usher has been paying close attention to the music scene in East Asia in order to develop and expand his influence there, and he has been putting a lot of focus on his latest Asian concert tour. Of the numerous distinguished and outstanding singers from East Asia that Usher had looked at, the American singer chose the hugely popular and highly creative singer-songer and producer Leehom Wang to take part in his Beijing stop.
Leehom Wang had greatly appealed to the American R&B superstar because of his well-known creative talents and amazing vocal skills as one of the top icons of Mandopop. Usher quoted that Leehom is an excellent singer and is also similar to him in that they both debuted in the music industry over a decade ago. Furthermore, Usher stated that he greatly appreciated Leehom's continued devotion to fusing the musical styles of both East and West, and praised Leehom for having strong values in protecting the environment and creating songs to promote that awareness. With their upcoming collaboration, the American singer expressed that he hopes that by working together, the two of them can become good friends with similar musical interests.
In response, Leehom also expressed admiration of his American counterpart, and how he appreciated Usher for his superb singing and dancing skills. In addition to Usher personally sending Leehom segments of his American performances to reference for the upcoming Beijing concert, Leehom also hoped that the two of them could collaborate in Taiwan in the future to bring out a unique spark.
With news of Usher and Leehom performing on the same stage for the Beijing concert, Chinese fans have been flocking online to purchase tickets in order to support these idols, and hope that the collaboration will be a great opportunity to springboard Leehom onto the international stage.
