Commercial in Seoul : Show Lo Shops 'Til Midnight
Show "Xiao Zhu (Little Pig)" Lo takes over the baton of the kings, endorsing a Mainland China brand of casual wear. The company put in lots of money and took the whole crew to Seoul, Korea for filming. After work, he went shopping at Dongdaemun in the middle of the night, and invited his female coworkers into his room as he played out a fashion show to show off his new clothes.
This is Show's 12th commercial endorsement this year, and it's said that the endorsement cost $6 Million RMB (~$27.82 Million NTD). They had previous spokespersons such as Leon Lai and Aaron Kwok, and now Show Lo. The endorser has lots of faith in Show's popularity in China. In the two days, the big group of working staff went to Seoul to do photo shoots and television commercials, Show also took the opportunity after work to go shopping.
Many foreign handsome male and beautiful female models were also invited to collaborate in the ads. Show, whose English communication skills have improved comparably to how it was previously, spoke to a 'freshie' model, chatting, he then heard that the female model guessed that he was only 22 years old, he proudly responded, "I'm already 30." But as she followed up to ask him how he takes care of himself, with his limited English, he immediately was at a loss of words, not knowing how to respond.
The filming went all the way into the night. After work, he dashed off to the 24-hour Dongdaemun for some shopping, and kept shopping until 4AM, excitedly saying, "So cheap/inexpensive." So he ended up buying 30+ outfits, only spending a little over $100,000 NTD, comparably less to what he has to spend regularly. And in his happy mode, he asked his coworkers to go to his room to watch him do a fashion show.
When he went to Seoul, he surprisingly found out that he had fans there as well. When he was in Myeongdong drinking coffee, he was recognized by a group of female fans. The girls were chit-chatting away, discussing, and ultimately met him outside the bathroom door and sang with him. Show laughed and said, "Yeah, I was happy, but outside the bathroom door is a little too awkward."
