If you have a Samsung Galaxy Tab and you’re wondering if it will be updated to newer versions of Android, the answer is “probably yes.”
According to SamsungHub, an official at Samsung India recently said that the Galaxy Tab would get both Android Gingerbread (supposedly version 2.3) and Android Honeycomb (supposedly version 3.0).
A specific timeframe for these updates has not been announced.
The Galaxy Tab currently runs Android 2.2 Froyo and it’s available in Europe and Asia. Starting this month, the Samsung tablet will also be available in the US, where T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, AT&T and U.S. Cellular are all getting ready to launch it.
