Patty Hou & vice president of Citigroup Global Securities Huang Bo Jun are engaged, and marriage is also not far away. Ex-boyfriend Jay Chou yesterday finally replied to this issue: “I also want to be like Patty, and get married, but I still haven’t found the right person.” He envies her for having found her other half, but he did not give her his blessing, and once again refuted the rumours between him & Jessie Chiang.Lack of sincerity in relationship
Earlier, Jay attended a fan-meet event in Shanghai, and stressed that he is still single. He will be 31 soon, but he expressed that he will only consider marriage until after 35, due to the excessive exposure of an artist’s life. To protect his other half, he doesn’t want to get married for the time being, and it seems this mentality of his is very likely to have been influenced from him & Patty’s relationship.
Jay & Patty dated for a year and a half. Due to his busy schedule, much of his time was spent away from her side, and Patty had no choice but to face the media alone every week. She became the spokesperson for their relationship, whereas Jay would avoid any questions about them. Gradually, his lack of sincerity made Patty feel very awkward, plus with their differing views on marriage made Patty have no sense of security, and hence she suggested the break-up. With this painful lesson, Jay is now very low-key about his love life.
New style for new album
Jay expressed that he will release his new album in March this year. During his time in America filming ‘The Green Hornet’, he wrote many songs in his spare time. Besides his usual Chinese-style song, he will also add electronic rock & alternative music in this new album. Jay stressed that he wants to break away from his past style; he doesn’t wish to do the same things over and over again. He will also have a new style for his album, possibly having long hair, and he says it will definitely shock everyone.
Jay stayed in America for 4 months to film ‘The Green Hornet’, and in his spare time, he recently filmed a mainland Yili yoghurt advertisement. Yili manufacturers and other spokesperson Ariel Lin all had to co-ordinate with his schedule. In early December, a whole group of people flew to America to film for 5 days. During this time, there were rumours of Jay’s ‘director addiction’ resurfacing, saying that he wanted to choose the female models himself. In addition, recently, there have been emerging rumours of China’s melamine milk poisoning taking place again. Towards this, Jay’s management company JVR expressed that all artists will do careful assessments of the product before they endorse it, and they also denied the rumours of Jay choosing female models himself.
