It's unlikely that the likes of glamour model Jordan have ever crossed into the rarified world inhabited by diva Mariah Carey.
So when Mariah's stylist suggested a huge tutu, which she could strip off to reveal a glittering shift dress, it must have seemed like a novel idea.
Sadly for Mariah her stage outfit last night bore more than a passing resemblance to Katie Price's ill-fated wedding outfit.
The singer descended to the stage in an over-the-top fairytale white gown at the Borgata in Atlantic City.
This was soon removed to remove a jewel-encrusted shift dress.
When Jordan married Peter Andre in September 2005 her outfit was remarkably similar.
But despite her love of bling, even Mariah didn't go as far as Katie, who made her arrival in a jewel encrusted carriage. instead she stuck to a flower-bedecked swing.
As well as her successful singing career, Mariah is carving a new role for herself as an actress.
Her critically acclaimed appearance in Precious is released in Britain later this month.
And it has emerged that the 40-year-old is being lined up to play High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens's mother in a new comedy.
