That rumor about the launch date of Verizon’s Kin One and Kin Two was almost exact: the new Microsoft phones will be available online at Verizon starting May 6. The devices will also be available in the carrier’s stores across the US, but only starting May 13.
Microsoft has confirmed these launch dates. Moreover, the company has also announced the handsets’ prices: the Kin One costs $49.99, while the Kin Two will be $99.99. Both prices are after $100 rebates with a 2-yr Verizon contract agreement, requiring a $40 voice plan and $30 data plan (a total of $70 per month).
Manufactured by Sharp, the Microsoft Kin One and Two are youth-oriented phones with touchscreen displays, full QWERTY keyboards, social networking integration, Zune integration, and pretty good photo cameras (5MP and 8MP respectively).
The Microsoft Kin One and Kin Two will also be available across Europe, via Vodafone – but this will happen sometime in autumn.
