From “McDreamy” to Superhero: Actor Patrick Dempsey, who plays Derek “McDreamy” Shepherd on the Emmy-winning ABC medical drama Grey’s Anatomy, has been tapped to star alongside Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox in the next installment of Michael Bay’s Transformers series, a rep for Paramount Pictures confirmed to Entertainment Weekly on Tuesday.Patrick will play the boss of Mikaela Banes, played by bombshell Megan.
Transformers 3 is expected to begin filming later this month for release next summer.
