Lights camera stripper! Matthew McConaughey engages in some monkey business with a bikini clad dancer
Let's hope Matthew McConaughey isn't hoping for an Oscar for his next cinematic masterpiece.
The actor was spotted on the other side of the camera yesterday, directing a video outside of a strip club.
McConaughey was joined by a cast of a bikini clad stripper and an actor dressed in a gorilla suit as he filmed scenes at the Bodyshop in West Hollywood.
McConaughey was uncharacteristically covered up for once, wearing a yellow T-shirt, cargo shorts, flip flops, baseball cap and aviator sunglasses.
The 40-year-old's T-shirt was emblazoned with the slogan 'The fame changes everything' with a Brazilian flag, perhaps a gift from McConaughey's Rio De Janeiro born designer/model girlfriend, and mother to his two children, Camila Alves.
In true Hollywood filming fashion, McConaughey's cast seemed to spend a lot of time just standing around whiling away the hours until their moment on camera.
The stripper was dressed in an itsy-bitsy leopard skin bikini and huge, high platform sandals and some silver bangles.
Whilst the poor actor that was clad in the gorilla suit must of been sweltering in the afternoon Los Angeles sunshine.
McConaughey was his usual laid back self, occasionally rousing himself to make the odd directorial gesture, and the rest of the time lazing around the set, leaning on a parking meter at one point for some much needed support.
This isn't McConaughey's first time behind the camera, the Fools Gold star has directed two short films in the past.
His current masterpiece, that he was spotted filming yesterday, is a music video for his friend, country singer Jamey Johnson's song Play The Part from his upcoming album, The Guitar Song.
McConaughey was also seen working on the video last week, wearing a rather bizarre mask as he filmed on Hollywood Boulevard.
