Oh, the irony. Verizon, having offered HTC Droid Incredible customers the chance to switch their order of the short-supply smartphone to the new Motorola DROID X and hopefully get a new Android smartphone sooner, now find themselves lacking in DROID X stock. According to the carrier’s webstore, neither handset is currently available.
In fact, stock isn’t expected to ship out until August 3rd, two weeks from today. Both are priced at $199.99 with a new, two-year agreement and the mandatory voice and data plans.
Having reviewed both the Droid Incredible and the DROID X, we can’t really say we’re surprised by the demand; both handsets are strong performers, with great displays, fast processors and decent multimedia performance. Are you waiting for one or the other?
