Singer and actor Choi Seung Hyun (Big Bang’s T.OP.) is receiving much attention as he is a strong candidate to receive the rookie award at the 2010 Movie Awards, which are beginning to start up.Choi Seung Hyun made is big screen debut this past June as war-scarred student soldier Oh Jang Bum in the war movie Into the Gunfire, which drew in over 3.3 million viewers.
Amongst the male stars who made themselves known in theaters during the first half of this year, that Choi Seung Hyun made the deepest impression is the consistent evaluation of cinema officials. Though he is originally a singer, the fact that he made a sincere transformation into an actor and was successful through a war movie in which outstanding senior actors also appeared was a plus. If Choi Seung Hyun were to receive the award at the film festival, he would be the first to do so as a member of an idol group in addition to being an actor.
