Samsung Epic 4G now available from Sprint
As expected, the Samsung Epic 4G is now available from Sprint. So if you’ve always wanted your very own Galaxy S on Sprint, the time has come. What’s more, as a Sprint customer, you even get something no other Galaxy S version offers: a physical QWERTY keyboard. So you can make fun of people buying Verizon’s Fascinate, AT&T’s Captivate or T-Mobile’s Vibrant, who are all left without one.
The Epic 4G will naturally, as its name suggests, run on Sprint’s WiMax network they love to call “4G”, even though it isn’t. However, data speeds are probably a bit better than its competitors’, so it may be a service worth looking into.
Sprint will, as announced, charge you $249.99 with a new 2-year contract or eligible upgrade if you want to get the Epic 4G, and that’s after a $100 mail-in rebate. You can of course still get Samsung’s latest from Amazon for $50 less, and not get involved with mailing in rebates or any such nonsense.
Wherever you choose to buy it from, the Epic 4G is a solid Android smartphone and should make a great device to have.
