KARA DioGuardi says there’s a chance she’ll take all her clothes off during this season of American Idol.“Um, get naked?” Kara told the March issue of Maxim magazine when asked how she’ll top last season where she stripped down to a skimpy bathing suit on live TV to duet with her TV foe Bikini Girl.
“But that could actually have the opposite effect, so I think I’ll keep my clothes on…. I would say that was definitely the first time… and probably the last.”
When asked if Simon Cowell gets flirty with her on the show, DioGuardio said, “I don’t think I’m his type. Ryan Seacrest flirts with me more than Simon does.”
Kara’s opinion on rumors shock jock Howard Stern is set to replace Cowell on the show? “Right now that’s a rumor, and I don’t really know if I can even speak on it,” she told reporters during a Wednesday conference call.
“[But] I don’t think he has a musical background or any kind of music… anything. I think that Simon — if you’re going to replace Simon — you have to have that background.
“You have to have somebody who knows about signing great artists and being a part of their career from the very beginning to the very end… I think that’s probably a precursor for whoever takes that position if they’re not a big artist who’s been through it themselves.”
DioGuardi then opened up about Ellen DeGeneres‘ Idol debut.
“Ellen brings a sense of humor, of course, but also I think she knows more about music than we think she does,” she said of the talk show host, who was well received by critics after her first show appearance.
